Settled on the south bank of the Benue river in Nigeria, the Chamba people held out against the Fulani's conquest attempts, nomadic ethnic group which is an important group settled in northern Nigeria. They are known for their famous buffalo mask, with two flat jaws in line with the head. The statuary, less frequent, is admired by lovers of primitive lines.
