Very beautiful earthenware Mambila jar out of terra cotta
In spite of their small number, the thirty thousand Mambila (or Mambilla, Mambere, NOR, Torbi, Lagubi, Tagbo, Tongbo, Bang, Corn, Juli, Bea), installed in the western north of Cameroun, created a great number of masks and easily recognizable statues with a face in the shape of a heart. On the north towards Chad, a great production of objects out of terra cotta may be found, sign of the influence of the old Sao civilization .
